Sri Venkateshwara University was formed and incorporated by the Sikkim State Legislature through its official gazette and is recognised by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956. The campus sits in Pakyong, Sikkim, minutes from Pakyong Greenfield Airport.
Our story
Sri Venkateshwara University is a futuristic model for young India, built around developing trends and skills. With substantial cooperation from government, industry and academia, technology-enabled learning has shifted the focus decisively to skills-led education.
SVU focuses on academic, vocational, professional, technical and life-skill areas so that students graduate with both capability and character. Under Founder Director Dr. DS Yadav and Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Mohan, the university offers 34+ programmes across schools of Engineering & Technology, Computer Science & IT, Science, Commerce & Management, Vocational Studies, Arts & Humanities, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, Hotel Management and Yoga, Education & Sports.
