    Confirm your seat

    Pay the initial fee via bank transfer, UPI, cheque or EMI to lock your seat. Hostel allocation follows.

Official admission modes at SVU

Online mode

  1. Register on the university online registration portal.
  2. Verify your email ID and mobile number; login credentials are emailed to you.
  3. Log in and complete the online application form for your chosen course.
  4. Pay the application fee (subject to eligibility) by UPI or bank transfer.
  5. Receive the offer letter from SVU.
  6. Upload your documents and receive the admission acceptance letter.
  7. Pay the requisite fees — you are enrolled at SVU.

Offline mode

  1. Visit the admission cell at the SVU campus, Pakyong.
  2. Fill the prescribed application form available at the admission counter.
  3. Appear for the SVU Entrance Examination followed by GD/PI where applicable.
  4. Submit the documents listed in the checklist.
  5. Deposit the fee and collect your enrolment letter.
  6. Receive the admission letter — you are enrolled at SVU.

Admission policy

  • Eligibility is as notified in the University Prospectus for each course, and candidates must follow the admission process prescribed for that course.
  • Students migrating from other recognised universities or boards are eligible where the examination is equivalent; credit transfer is governed by the relevant Ordinance.
  • Application forms may be collected from the admission office or downloaded from the university website.
  • Admission is strictly on merit — through an All-India Common Entrance Test, the SVU Entrance Test, qualifying-exam merit, viva/personal interview, or a combination of these.
  • Entrance examinations are held at the university campus or other notified centres.
  • Only candidates who have passed examinations from recognised boards/universities are considered.
  • Admissions are finalised by the Admission Committee of the concerned department.
