The steps, in order
- 1Appear for NEET-UG — NEET-UG is the single entrance route for BAMS. You must score at or above the 50th percentile (40th for SC/ST/OBC; 45th general and 40th reserved for benchmark disability).
- 2Register for AYUSH counselling — Karnataka seats are filled through KEA state counselling and the AACCC all-India quota. The seat matrix is 15% all-India quota and 85% state quota.
- 3Choice filling & seat allotment — Enter Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Ayurveda Medical College among your preferences. Allotment follows the NEET merit list within your category.
- 4Document verification & reporting — Report to the college with the allotment letter and original documents within the reporting window; late reporting forfeits the seat.
- 5Fee payment & admission — Pay the KEA-prescribed fee plus the institutional skill-lab and miscellaneous fee of ₹45,000 as applicable at the time of admission.
Seat matrix
The college is sanctioned 60 BAMS seats a year. Fifteen per cent go to the all-India quota filled by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee, and eighty-five per cent to the state quota filled by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. A Karnataka domicile candidate therefore has far wider access, but out-of-state candidates can and do get seats through the all-India rounds and mop-up.

Common mistakes that cost seats
- Filling too few preferences in the first round and being left out of allotment entirely.
- Missing the reporting window — allotment lapses automatically and the seat moves to the next round.
- Paying money to an agent before an official allotment letter exists on the counselling portal.
- Not carrying the migration or eligibility certificate when moving from another board or state.

Admission questions
Is NEET compulsory for BAMS admission?
Yes. NEET-UG is mandatory for every BAMS seat in India. General-category candidates need the 50th percentile, SC/ST/OBC candidates the 40th percentile, and candidates with benchmark disabilities 45th (general) or 40th (reserved).
How many BAMS seats does the college have?

What is the age limit for BAMS admission?
You must be at least 17 years old on or before 31 December of the admission year. The NCISM rules state an upper limit of 25 years, relaxable by five years for SC, ST, OBC and physically handicapped candidates; check the current year's counselling notification, as the upper age limit has been contested.
