BAMS fees 2026 at SPSAMC, H&RC.

What you pay, line by line

  • Tuition

Fixed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for the seat category allotted to you. Government-quota seats carry the state-notified lower rate; management and all-India-quota seats carry the higher notified rate.

  • Skill lab & miscellaneous fee

₹45,000 as applicable, collected by the college at the time of admission.

  • Hostel & mess

Charged separately if you take on-campus residence in the boys' or girls' hostel. Canteen meals are billed by the college canteen.

  • University charges

RGUHS registration, eligibility certificate where applicable, university examination fees each phase, and a one-time refundable caution deposit.

Why the fee differs between students

The fee attaches to the seat, not the person. A government-quota seat allotted through KEA carries the state-fixed lower tuition. Management and all-India-quota seats carry the higher notified rate. Because the KEA notification is issued each admission year, we quote the current figure against your allotment category rather than publishing a number that goes stale.

Budget across 5½ years, not four

BAMS is 5 years 6 months (4½ years academic + 12 months compulsory rotatory internship). Multiply the annual tuition across the three academic phases, add hostel and mess for each year you stay on campus, then add the internship year, during which a stipend may partially offset living costs. Comparing a single year's tuition against another health-science course is the most common budgeting error families make.

Scholarships and loans

  • State post-matric scholarships for SC, ST, OBC and minority candidates.
  • Karnataka fee-reimbursement schemes for eligible categories and income slabs.
  • Education loans sanctioned against the college fee-structure letter and the counselling allotment letter.
  • Collect a bonafide certificate from the college office early — scholarship portals close hard.
